Iron cross jewelry

Once the symbol of the Teutonic Knights, the iron cross now symbolizes the independent American spirit. During World War II, iron cross metals were awarded to German soldiers. After Germany was defeated, American G.I.’s returned home with the metals as tokens of their victory. When G.I.’s started the first motorcycle clubs and surfer groups, they used the iron cross as a symbol of rebellion and strength.
